The guy has a point. He explains that DS developers are not putting fourth full effort into their game design. He says that DS games should not be half-ass ports equivalent to cell phone games, and actually supports the DS by saying it is capable of more than that.

Well, sort of. Europe will have it before us. While the system is a little before my time, it should be great news for the older gaming crowd.

Some child advocates are saying the the Wii is violence training. They have been saying this since Manhunt 2. Their claim is that the Wii Remote allows us to act out the actions seen in the game. We all know that hitting the B button on the Wii Remote is just like pulling the trigger on a gun, in fact, I don’t even have to walk anymore, I just use an analog stick.
Violence has always been around, even before video games. It was in the Bible, it was in Homer and it still exists today. I have been playing video games for years, and I am not immune to violence. I feel horrible when anyone dies, it doesn’t matter how many times I have shot someone in Grand Theft Auto. Playing video games does not teach me how to kill.
People, need to educate themselves. I have said it before, and I will say it again…part of the responsibility of being a parent is understanding what your kids are playing and doing. Some are not ready for that, and there is no excuse for not learning what your kids are playing. I understand that kids will lie and keep secrets, but it is the parents job to learn what a video game is and what the ratings mean then decide what game is right for their kid. Then again, these are some of the same parents who seem to think that Gamestop is another word for daycare.
With that, I off to play Super Mario Galaxy I am training to be an astronaut.
